… expresses desire to deepen co-operation

His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, has received a congratulatory letter from His Excellency George Manneh Weah, President of the Republic of Liberia, who expressed his desire to see continued co-operation between the nations.

In his letter, the Liberian President said, “As you embark on this journey of leadership, we look forward to further strengthening the friendship and co-operation so happily subsisting between our two countries and peoples, as we continue to forge a common front for the promotion of international peace, security and development.”

President Manneh Weah also said that he is “particularly delighted” by President Ali’s “insightful leadership and your promise to unite the country on the platform of combating poverty, and ensuring peace and stability. I have no doubt that your tenure will bring even greater prosperity to your people.”

He noted too that President Ali’s election is “undoubtedly an affirmation of the confidence reposed in you by the people of your great country.”

The Liberian President then extended his best wishes for President Ali’s continued “good health, happiness and wisdom to successfully lead the people of Guyana”.
