Medical center in Georgetown

In February 2009, the Board of Executive Directors of the Islamic Development Bank approved a grant of US $495,000 for the establishment of a medical center in Georgetown to be implemented by the Central Islamic Organization of Guyana (CIOG).
It was revealed by the President of the CIOG that a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the CIOG and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) in this regard.
