IsDB to open a regional office in Suriname, with responsibility for Suriname, Guyana, and the Americas.
IsDB President is likely to visit both Suriname and Guyana.

1. IsDB: wide range of projects: 2018 To 2022 Financing & Technical Assistances: Credits & Grants USD $900: Million. IsDB 43rd annual meeting, Tunis, Tunisia, 3rd April – 5th April 2018: IsDB mission in December 2017, with a work program.
2. Financing and technical assistance, will be directed to key development areas, including economic infrastructure, rural development; human development; trade and competitiveness.

• IsDB 44th. Annual meeting in Marrakech, Morocco. Agreed with OPEC, for OPEC to assist Guyana ministry of finance, with “projects feasibilities studies.” agreed for OPEC team to visit Guyana with the IsDB team and both will coordinate their programs.
• IsDB team of 6 persons in Guyana. July 21-27, 2019 for interior renewable energy projects evaluations. Ministry of Finance & Guyana energy agency.

3. IsDB September 2018 > Reverse linkage project between Guyana and Malaysia on rice production total cost USD $877,700: providers USD $297,700: recipient/Guyana USD $300,000: and IsDB USD $280,000:

10. IsDB April 2019 > technical assistances grant for enhancing value chains and trade in Guyana with a value of USD $ 280,000
11. OIC 14^th May 31, 2019: Islamic summit, Makkah, KSA: COMCEC: standing committee for economic and commercial cooperation: Guyana> poverty alleviation > increasing the capacity of vocational education centers for the disabled in selected OIC countries, Guyana, Suriname and Turkey.

• Guyana debt to Kuwait, discussions. Concluded in March 2019 (USD $51 million write-offs), “total debt USD $ 75.6 million. Kuwait, wrote off 67 % = 2/3, of debt for USD $50.7 million. • Debt agreements in discussions with the UAE and Libya.
• Note: March 2019 agreement ready for signatures for “Kuwait and Guyana mutual exemption of prior entry visa for holders of diplomatic, special and official passports.”
• Saudi Fund for Development 2023– Two Development Loan Agreements Worth $150 Million in Guyana. Housing Development and Wismar Bridge.
