Foreign Secretary Mr. Robert Persaud Held Consultations with Deputy Minister of Turkiye Ambassador Burak Akçapar

Deputy Minister Ambassador Burak Akçapar held political consultations with Robert Persaud, Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Guyana and High Representative to the UN Security Council in Ankara today.

Ambassador Akçapar congratulated Guyana on its membership in the United Nations Security Council, which began on January 1, and expressed Türkiye’s readiness to cooperate with Guyana during this mandate.

During the consultations, Türkiye-Guyana bilateral relations were discussed in all its aspects as well as regional and UN issues, particularly the war in Ukraine and the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza.
