His Excellency President Dr Irfaan Ali Met with Permanent Representative of Canada to the United Nations, Ambassador Robert Rae

His Excellency President Dr Irfaan Ali met with Permanent Representative of Canada to the United Nations, Ambassador Robert Rae this evening at State House.

Discussions focused on shared regional and multilateral priorities including issues within the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and Canada’s enhanced role in the region.

President Ali is the current chair of CARICOM.

High Commissioner of Canada to Guyana, Mark Berman; Political Counsellor at the Canadian High Commission, Ms Caroline Mireault and Director of Presidential Affairs, Mrs Marcia Nadir-Sharma were also part of the meeting
