The Honourable Hugh Hilton Todd, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation today met with the representatives of the ABCEU countries for the monthly dialogue on United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
During the engagement, Minister Todd noted Guyana’s chairmanship of the Council in February 2024, and informed of Guyana’s Signature Event, which will be presided over by His Excellency, President Mohamed Irfaan Ali.
The dialogue is intended to connect Georgetown with the respective capitals on United Nations Security Council related matters.
Participating in the meeting were the European Union Ambassador to Guyana, Mr. Rene Van Nes, Canadian High Commissioner to Guyana His Excellency Mark Berman, Permanent Representative of Canada to the United Nations, His Excellency Bob Rae, British High Commission (ag) His Excellency Greg Quinn, Deputy Chief of Mission of the US Embassy, Ms. Adrienne Galanek and Political Counsellor of the Canadian High Commission, Ms. Caroline Mireault.
