Minister Todd assesed impact of flooding in areas in region 10 and provided relief supplies

MINISTER TODD ASSESED IMPACT OF FLOODING IN AREAS IN REGION 10 AND PROVIDED RELIEF SUPPLIES
The Honourable Hugh Todd, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation today travelled to Region 10 where he visited areas affected by the floods.
During the walk-about to assess the flooded areas, residents of Maria’s Elizabeth and Three Friends voiced their plight about the challenges they are facing due to the heavy rainfall and spring tide, respectively.
Minister Todd assured the residents that the Government is working to provide short-term relief and long term solutions to the current situation. In this regard, he provided vulnerable families with hampers to bring temporary relief to their situation.
